Culinario Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes what data the Culinario mobile application (the "App", "we") collects and processes, and how we use it.
By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What Data We Collect
1.1 Account Data
When you register, we collect your email address and create a profile (including your stated dietary goal and preferred interface language) required for the App to function.
1.2 Fridge Photos
You may photograph the contents of your fridge for product recognition. These photos:
- are uploaded temporarily to secure cloud storage only for the duration of analysis;
- are automatically deleted immediately after the recognition result is produced;
- are never stored long-term by us or any third party, and are not kept in your scan history.
Your scan history only stores the text result — the list of recognized products and recommended recipes — never the images themselves.
1.3 Usage Data
We store your scan history (recognized products, recommended recipes), the staple-items checklist you set during onboarding, and — for Pro users — your conversation history with the AI nutrition coach.
1.4 Subscription Data
When you purchase a Pro subscription via the App Store or Google Play, we receive the subscription status (active/expired/cancelled) and expiration date from them — we never have access to your payment card details, which are handled exclusively by the App Store / Google Play.
1.5 App Usage Analytics
We may collect anonymized usage statistics (which screens and features are used) to improve the product.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To recognize products in fridge photos (using a third-party AI model, see Section 3).
- To recommend and personalize recipes, including calorie calculations (for Pro users).
- To power the AI nutrition coach (for Pro users).
- To manage your account and subscription.
- To improve the quality and accuracy of the App.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties and do not use it to serve you advertising.
3. Third-Party Data Sharing
To operate the App, we rely on the following service providers (data processors):

4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Fridge photos are automatically deleted within minutes of analysis (no later than one hour — a backup automatic cleanup runs in case the primary deletion path fails).
- Text data (scan history, recipes, coach conversations) is retained for as long as you have an account.
- You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address in Section 6.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- request a copy of the data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your account and data;
- withdraw consent to data processing (this will make the App unusable).
